Maidstone elders are planning a series of evening meetings at the Meeting House during 2010, to follow on from the evening meeting for attenders which was held last November. We are offering them with attenders and enquirers mainly in mind, but anyone else is welcome to come along. We will be looking at one of the Quaker testimonies each time. The timetable is:
19th April - Peace
7th June - Equality
19th July - Simplicity
6th September - Truth
Date in October to be confirmed
followed by supper.
Although the meetings are planned as a series, you don’t have to commit to come to them all. We’ll be making suggestions about reading material for those who’d like to follow things up, but there won’t be any required reading. Just come!
The weekend planned for October 8-10 is taking shape. A weekend of getting to know ourselves in the spirit, with time for recreation as well as reflection with Frances Crampton facilitating. The weekend costs £126 and bursary help is available. Please let Sue, Danny or Richard know if you want to attend.
A report by Pam Page, who attended "Mind the Light" at Minster Abbey.
